Book Life of monsters in the Middle Ages
Following the example of medieval codes, the cover contains the best examples of treatises on monsters written in the Middle Ages: “The Book of Beasts and Monsters” by an unknown author of the 8th century, in-depth studies on dragons, scorpions and sea monsters by the 13th century encyclopedist Thomas of Cantimpre, geographical calculations by Honorius of Augustodon (XII century), who settled monsters throughout the Earth's Circle, and a very relevant message from the monk Ratramnus (VIII century), considering the question of whether or not to baptize dog-headed people.
The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
