Book Elberfeld speeches
The "Elberfeld Speeches" are speeches by Friedrich Engels at two meetings in Elberfeld in February 1845. They were also published in the journal "Rhenish Yearbook for Social Reforms". These speeches aroused “increased” police interest in Engels and the intention to arrest him for promoting communist ideas.
