Неперевершена сатира на сучасність

Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям! Уеллс, який зазвичай асоціюється з фантастикою, виявляється майстром сатири, і його іронічний погляд на штампи класичної "сімейної саги" вражає своєю дотепністю та глибиною. Роман розкриває складні стосунки між персонажами, піднімаючи важливі питання про щастя та справедливість у нашому світі. Хоча переклад, виконаний Іриною Гуровою, в цілому якісний, іноді можна натрапити на невеликі недоліки, які, проте, не заважають насолоджуватися текстом. Я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує іронічний підхід до серйозних тем і хоче поглянути на звичні речі з іншого боку. Чудова робота!
