Book "Harry Potter" in the Church: between anathema and a smile
Harry Potter is one of the most successful projects in the book industry. In Russia, “Pottermania” has caused mixed reviews, ranging from enthusiastic perception to “Potterophobia.” The famous writer and theologian Deacon Andrei Kuraev expresses his point of view, which is certainly interesting not only to fans and opponents of Harry Potter, but also to those who are not familiar with the popular literary hero. Particularly noteworthy are the historical excursions, which force us to take a fresh look at the pressing problems of ethics, religion and culture. The book is intended for a wide range of readers, primarily school teachers and parents.
The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
