Petro Poganini (aka Pyotr Pogankin) is an unsuccessful science fiction writer. After he moved to live in Guslyar and began writing his novel “The Last Bullet in the Dragon,” the city was filled with the ghosts of dragons, aliens, killers and other fantastic heroes. The ghosts came from Pogankin’s pen, and although they were incorporeal, they greatly disturbed the residents of Guslyar. Professor Mints and Kornely Udalov set out to rid the city of the creations of Pogankin.
