Oh. Henry (1862–1910) is the pseudonym of William Sidney Porter, an eminent American short story writer famous for his brilliant, humorous stories. During his short creative life, he wrote about 280 stories, not counting feuilletons and various small works. In this Collection, for the first time, all 13 collections of O. Henry’s stories, as well as works not included by the author in the main collections, are published in full. Over 40 stories have been translated into Russian for the first time. The third volume of the collection includes the collections of stories “Roads of Fate” (1909) and “The Choice” (1909).

The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.

Чудове видання для шанувальників О. Генрі!

Третій том зборів оповідань О. Генрі - це справжній подарунок для всіх любителів його творчості. Автор вміло поєднує гумор, іронію та глибокі людські переживання, що робить його оповідання надзвичайно цікавими та захоплюючими. Збірки "Дороги долі" та "На вибір" містять багато яскравих персонажів і неймовірних сюжетних поворотів, які змушують задуматися про життя і його несподівані повороти. Переклад, хоч і має деякі недоліки, все ж передає дух оригіналу і дозволяє насолодитися красою мови О. Генрі. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує якісну літературу та хоче поринути у світ американської прози початку XX століття!
