This is not the first anthology of this kind in Russia. What distinguishes it from the previous ones? First of all: its main source was not “ready-made” collections of quotes, but the works of the ancient authors themselves (as a rule, in authoritative Russian publications). This made it possible to very significantly expand the range of published thoughts and sayings. Almost all quotes are taken from prose works. Вражаюча антологія давніх думок і висловів!

Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у світі класичної літератури. Автори зуміли зібрати в одному томі безліч мудрих думок і висловів, які, на жаль, часто забуваються в сучасному світі. Важливо, що джерела цитат наведені чітко і точно, що дозволяє читачеві зануритися в контекст і краще зрозуміти думки давніх авторів. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних неточностей, загалом переклад виглядає якісно і зрозуміло. Книга стане чудовим довідником для тих, хто цікавиться філософією, літературою та історією, і я б рекомендував її всім, хто хоче розширити свій кругозір та доторкнутися до мудрості минулого. Відзначаю, що це не просто збірка цитат, а справжня антологія, яка допомагає зрозуміти, як думали і висловлювалися наші предки. Чудова робота!
