Book Mutter
In front of you is the play “Mutter” (2001) by the famous modern Togliatti playwright Vyacheslav Durnenkov. The characters in the play - forgotten pensioners from a nursing home - are not entirely ordinary from the very beginning: for example, they listen and dance hard rock of the MTV format ( “Rammstein” is a song by this band that gives the play its title, as well as Marilyn Manson and Limp Bizkit). A similar technique is of the same nature as Durnenkov’s mixing of times; the reference to this “repertoire” is a hint that today’s young people may find themselves in a similar position...
The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
