Book Hildegard of Bingen
The book by the famous French author Regine Pernu creates a vivid image of Hildegard of Bingen, a Benedictine nun of the 12th century, who was distinguished by her extraordinary talent: she studied theology and wrote down mystical pictures of existence that appeared to her in visions, she composed poetry and music, studied the properties of plants and their used in medicine, treated physical and mental illnesses. In correspondence with the emperor and the Pope, she fearlessly exposed what she considered a sin. Soon after her death, she began to be revered as a saint.
