"The Great Soviet Encyclopedia" is a work known throughout the world as one of the largest editions of a general encyclopedia. The publication was created under the editorship of the Academy of Sciences of the RSFSR, and was published in a 65-volume edition from 1926 to 1947. The book contains a wide range of information about various aspects of life, culture, science, technology and history of the governments of the USSR, as well as about various countries of the world.
