Alexander Solzhenitsyn has a famous story, “The Incident at Kochetovka Station.” True, during Khrushchev’s publication it was listed as “Krechetovka”, due to the coincidence with the surname of the editor-in-chief of “October” V. Kochetov. A story is just a story. But I know this Kochetovka station - a huge junction station, one of the largest in the USSR. And for Solzhenitsyn, this is some kind of railway stop, the fate of which is in charge of the hushed rear lieutenant Zotov. According to Stanislavsky, I don’t believe it! Solzhenitsyn’s pathos is clear, the cult of personality has been debunked, the young author has fallen right into the wake of the “thaw.” But somehow all this bothered me. That’s why I wrote my “Krechetovka” - the novel “An Incident at Krechetovka Station”. And since it will never be published in print, because we live in a world where money rules, I decided to offer it to everyone for free reading.
