Неперевершене завершення епопеї про Джорджа Смайлі!

Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям і підсумком всього циклу романів про майора Смайлі. Хоча герой вже на пенсії і зайнятий написанням дисертації, його минуле не дає йому спокою. Автор майстерно переплітає елементи шпигунського трилера з глибокими роздумами про старіння, втрати та невизначеність. Особливо вразила гра персонажів, які, незважаючи на вік, залишаються вірними своїм принципам і ідеалам. Напруга зростає до самого фіналу, коли Смайлі знову опиняється в грі, де ставки надзвичайно високі. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовим сюжетом і глибокими темами. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує якісну літературу та складні, багатогранні персонажі!
