Experts attribute the writings included in this book to the late period when Freud makes an unexpected turn to the topic of religion. In the first work he declares religion to be a universal neurosis, in the second he peers into the nature of man's ancient horror and reverence before the unbearable divine Father. Both works are presented in translation by the outstanding philologist and philosopher V.V. Bibikhin and supplemented by his notes on Freud’s last work. Глибоке дослідження людської природи та релігії

Книга "Цивілізація, культура, релігія" - це справжній шедевр, який спонукає до глибоких роздумів про людську природу, релігію та її вплив на культуру. Відомий психолог Фрейд вміло аналізує складні аспекти релігійного досвіду, розкриваючи, як релігія може бути як джерелом неврозу, так і способом пошуку сенсу в житті. Переклад В. В. Бібіхіна додає цінності цій роботі, адже він не лише передає зміст, але й зберігає стиль автора. Хоча в тексті іноді трапляються некоректні фрази, загалом книга читається легко і цікаво.
