The book, for the first time in Russian and Western scholarship, offers a systematic selection of translations of fragments of medieval works that characterize the worldview of the Vietnamese in the 10th-13th centuries. The book includes a variety of materials related to both local religious beliefs (the cult of ancestors and spirits) and Buddhism that came from India and China, mainly the Thien (Chinese Chan) school. Translations from Chinese were carried out using modern scientific-critical publications and unpublished materials (manuscripts, woodcuts). Ця антологія є безцінним внеском у вивчення в'єтнамської культури та світогляду, що формувався протягом століть. Книга пропонує унікальну можливість заглибитися в середньовічні твори, які відображають релігійні вірування та філософські погляди в'єтнамців X-XIII століть. Переклади, виконані з китайської мови, вражають своєю якістю, хоча й можуть містити незначні неточності, пов'язані з використанням штучного інтелекту.
