A lot has been said and written about the February Revolution of 1917 this year. However, memorable dates pass, and the discussion, as is our custom, has come to naught, the disputes have subsided until the next round numbers on the calendar. In the fall, a wave of talk about the main anniversary of this year - the October one - will surge and then subside. Most likely, the logic and context of the discussions will be different, especially since the federal election campaign will begin by then. Meanwhile, we need real awareness and understanding of what happened 90 years ago today fundamentally, and not just for the sake of preserving historical memory. Everything that happened from February to October 1917 (that’s right: together, without a break) is extremely relevant for us today, now.
