On the Imitation of Christ is the most famous and beloved book of Western Christians after the Bible, an inspiring, comprehensive guide to Christian spiritual practice for both monastics and lay people. The book consists of four separate, independent treatises written in the Netherlands at different times, between 1420 and 1427, and aimed at establishing the priority of the inner life in Christ. This publication is based on a translation from Latin by Professor K. P. Pobedonostsev, made by him in 1869 with some abbreviations. It contains what was not translated by K. P. Pobedonostsev, obsolete words and expressions are replaced with those used in our time, some corrections have been made after checking with the two most authoritative translations into English and partially with the Latin original. Saved in PDF A4 format publishing layout.

Неперевершене джерело духовного натхнення

Книга «Про наслідування Христа» є справжнім скарбом для всіх, хто прагне поглибити своє духовне життя та знайти внутрішній спокій. Цей текст, написаний у 15 столітті, залишається актуальним і сьогодні, адже його мудрість і поради про наслідування Христа надихають не лише ченців, а й мирян. Чотири трактати, що складають цю книгу, пропонують глибокі роздуми про віру, смирення та любов до ближнього. Оновлений переклад, хоча й має деякі недоліки, все ж дозволяє сучасному читачеві легко зрозуміти глибокий зміст твору. Я вважаю, що ця книга повинна бути в бібліотеці кожного, хто шукає духовного зростання та прагне жити у відповідності до християнських цінностей. Вона спонукає до роздумів, допомагає знайти відповіді на складні питання життя і, безумовно, залишає слід у серці кожного читача.
