Their main life achievements, the history of their destinies are connected with the knowledge of the Torah, its comprehension and interpretation. Their true biography consists not of external events of personal or public life, but of the perfect results of their creativity. And indeed, almost all Talmudic literature is devoted to the spiritual history of its heroes.
