The third volume of the final posthumous collection of stories by F. Dick includes works written in 1953–1954. Originally published in 1987 as a volume of the five-volume set “The Father Thing” by Underwood-Miller, the collection was subsequently reprinted several times - both under the same title, and under the title "Second Variety" (Citadel Twilight, 1991 and Citadel Press, 2002), with the addition of a story of the same name.

Вражаюча збірка, яка залишає слід у душі!

Книга "Друга модель" - це справжня перлина для всіх шанувальників Філіпа Діка. У цій збірці оповідань, написаних у середині 50-х років, автор демонструє своє вміння порушувати складні філософські питання, пов'язані з ідентичністю, реальністю та людською природою. Кожне оповідання вражає своєю глибиною та оригінальністю, змушуючи читача замислитися над сутністю буття. Незважаючи на те, що текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, якість перекладу в цілому досить висока, хоча іноді трапляються незначні недоліки. Проте це не заважає насолоджуватися неймовірними ідеями та сюжетом, які притаманні лише Діку. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче зануритися в світ наукової фантастики з глибоким змістом і незабутніми персонажами!
