The collection “White Snake” includes six Tatar folk tales. The choice of specific works was determined by the desire to show as widely as possible the palette of genres and styles of folk art: here is a fairy tale about animals, and a satirical fairy tale, and a magical, and a philosophical one. All of them were translated and literary processed by the Tatar translator Alena Karimova. Artist Natalya Demidova decorated the book with bright, expressive illustrations that convey the national flavor. On the endpapers of the publication, readers can familiarize themselves with beautifully executed maps of the Great Silk Road in the part that passed through the territory of modern Tatarstan. The maps were compiled by Dmitry Makhashvili and Yulia Panipartova. We hope that both children and adults will love this publication. The book is intended for family reading.

The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
