On a summer day in 1939, Perry Nelson, a military pilot and naval officer, trying to dodge a car driving into the oncoming lane, falls from a height of forty meters onto the coastal rocks. The last thing he sees is yellow beach sand and a girl playing with a ball. He woke up in a new body and with a new name. Now he is Gordon 755-82, and the year according to the calendar is 2086. The world in which he found himself has changed in everything - from technology and household items to politics and morality. The only thing that has not changed is the one-eared Captain Kidd, the cat of the owner who sheltered Nelson. Cats are always cats. In addition to the novel, the book includes works by Heinlein from the collection “Requiem”, compiled by the writer’s widow, and the comic story “Identified Defects: A Note from a Cyborg”, which (with the exception of the story “Requiem”) are published in Russian for the first time .

Вражаюча подорож у часі та просторі!

Книга "Нам живуть. Реквієм" - це справжня знахідка для всіх любителів наукової фантастики та філософських роздумів. Історія Перрі Нельсона, який після трагічного падіння опиняється в новому світі під іменем Гордон 755-82, захоплює з перших сторінок. Автор майстерно описує зміни, які відбулися у світі, де технології, політика та моральні цінності зазнали кардинальних трансформацій. Читач відчуває себе частиною цього нового, незнайомого світу, спостерігаючи за тим, як герой намагається адаптуватися до нових реалій. Особливо приємно, що в книзі присутні твори Хайнлайна, які додають глибини та контексту до основної історії. Хоча переклад тексту з використанням штучного інтелекту має деякі недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом та глибокими темами, які піднімаються в книзі. Рекомендую всім, хто шукає не лише розваги, а й можливість замислитися над сутністю людського існування в умовах змін!
