Book Armageddon in retrospect
“Armageddon in Retrospect” is a collection of stories, articles and essays published after the death of Kurt Vonnegut. All of them are united by the theme of war, which the writer (who himself fought and was captured) hated more than anything in the world and to which he devoted his brightest pages of his works. In war, according to Vonnegut, there are no right and wrong, there are only victims of a merciless System that breaks human destinies. But is there a way to change this? Or are we forever doomed to live “in the period between the wars”?
The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
