But the admiration for scientific and technical genius, familiar to us from other works of the writer, is here combined with a warning to humanity: a civilization where two gods are worshiped - the machine and money - carries the threat of spiritual degradation. And finally, another touch of novelty: instead of travel and adventure, the plot is based on a love story.

Вражаюча подорож у світ майбутнього!

Книга "Місто майбутнього. Подорож до Англії та Шотландії задом наперед" справді вражає своєю здатністю поєднувати наукову фантастику з глибокими філософськими роздумами. Жюль Верн, як завжди, демонструє своє вміння передбачати технологічні досягнення, які стали реальністю у наш час. Читання цієї книги - це не лише захоплююча подорож у часі, але й роздуми про те, як технології можуть впливати на наше життя та цінності. Любовна лінія, що проходить через весь сюжет, додає емоційності та глибини, роблячи історію ще більш цікавою. Переклад, хоча й має незначні недоліки, не заважає насолоджуватися цим шедевром. Рекомендую всім, хто любить поєднання наукової фантастики та романтики!
