The Continental Op made his debut in an October 1923 issue of Black Mask, making him one of the earliest hard-boiled private detective characters to appear in the pulp magazines of the early twentieth century. Вражаюче повернення до класики детективного жанру!

Книга "Континентальна операція" - це справжня знахідка для всіх шанувальників детективів та історій про приватних детективів. Dashiell Hammett створив незабутнього персонажа - Континентального опера, який став еталоном для багатьох наступних детективних героїв. Його характер, риси та методи розслідування настільки яскраві, що читачі неминуче поринають у світ кримінальних інтриг і загадок. Оповідання в цій збірці вражають своєю динамічністю та напругою, а також майстерно прописаними діалогами. Хоча переклад тексту здійснено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в деяких місцях зустрічаються неточності, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовими історіями. Я б рекомендував цю книгу не лише фанатам детективного жанру, але й усім, хто хоче ознайомитися з основами сучасної літератури. Чудове читання, яке залишає по собі слід у пам'яті!
