Summer 1541. King Henry VIII of England, concerned about the attempted rebellion, plans to visit York in the north of the kingdom to prevent a possible repeat of the rebellion. Захоплююча історія, що занурює в епоху Генріха VIII!

Книга "Соверен" - це справжня перлина для тих, хто любить історичні детективи з елементами трилера. Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу Англії 16 століття, сплітаючи реальні історичні події з вигаданими сюжетними лініями. Метью Шардлейк - яскравий персонаж, який викликає симпатію і зацікавленість. Його секретне завдання та таємничі події, що розгортаються в абатстві Святої Марії, тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Читач відчуває себе частиною розслідування, намагаючись разом із Шардлейком розгадати загадки та виявити справжніх ініціаторів змови. Єдине, що трохи псує враження - це недосконалості в перекладі, які іноді відволікають від сюжету. Проте, загалом, "Соверен" - це книга, яка варта уваги, і я б рекомендував її всім любителям історії та детективів!
