The legend of Atlantis is as old as the world. The history of its research goes back to the times of Plato, who, back in the fourth century BC, described it in two philosophical treatises, Timaeus and Critias, and according to whom it is the cradle of civilization. Subsequently, the number of myths and hypotheses about Atlantis, its location and death grew with amazing speed. But the technical difficulties of underwater archeology and the clearly insufficient documentary base prevented the construction of a coherent and academically verified scientific theory, which created a wide field of activity for various falsifiers of this intriguing problem. However, the British scientist and writer Andrew Collins was lucky, and his daring research enthusiasm bore fruit: he managed to find an entrance to the treasury of Atlantological wonders and now generously shares his discoveries with interested readers.
