Автор майстерно поєднує історичні факти з вигаданими персонажами, створюючи напружену атмосферу протистояння між Абвером, радянською контррозвідкою та українським підпіллям. Читач відчуває себе частиною подій, спостерігаючи за хитромудрими маневрами агентів і партизанів, а також за їхніми моральними дилемами. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які, безумовно, можуть відволікати, загальний зміст і емоційна насиченість твору компенсують ці недоліки.
