The book “Attack Aircraft and Fighter-Bombers” provides information about the main aircraft of these classes, created in the 1950-1990s. Unfortunately, the volume of the publication did not allow us to include information about modern multirole fighters. Separately, we will talk about naval attack aircraft (an exception is made only for the American A-4 and A-7 aircraft, which largely made their “career” as “land” attack aircraft). In the book by V.E. Ilyin and I.V. Kudishin “Military transport aircraft” is supposed to describe fire support aircraft of the “Ganship” type. Some fighter-bombers (F-100, F-111, Hunter, MiG-17 and others) were described in sufficient detail in the books “Fighters” and “Bombers” by V.E. Ilyin and M.A. Levin, therefore, in order to avoid repetitions, they were not included in this publication.

Досить інформативна книга для авіаційних ентузіастів!

Книга «Штурмовики та винищувачі-бомбардувальники» є справжнім подарунком для тих, хто цікавиться військовою авіацією, особливо періодом з 1950-х до 1990-х років. Автори вдало зібрали в одному виданні інформацію про основні літаки цього класу, що дозволяє читачеві отримати цілісне уявлення про їхню історію, технічні характеристики та бойове застосування. Хоча книга не охоплює сучасні винищувачі, це не зменшує її цінності, адже багато читачів, як я, зацікавлені саме в історичних аспектах. Окремо варто відзначити якість перекладу, хоча іноді зустрічаються незначні помилки, але вони не заважають загальному сприйняттю тексту. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче дізнатися більше про військову авіацію та її розвиток у другій половині XX століття!
