Book Commentary on “37 Bodhisattva Practices”
This publication is a commentary by His Holiness the Dalai Lama XIV on the poem “The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas” by the famous Tibetan monk, yogi and thinker Ngulchu Gyalse Thogme Zangpo (1295-1369), given by him during the Kalachakra initiation in Bodh Gaya in 1974. This text, which describes various aspects of the spiritual practice of Mahayana Buddhism, is part of the corpus of scriptures of the lodjong, or transformation of consciousness, tradition, and can also be interpreted in the context of the lam-rim tradition of the graded path. The book will be equally interesting to both Buddhist scholars and ordinary readers who want to become better acquainted with the spiritual traditions of the East.
The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
