Еллі, головна героїня, стає символом боротьби за ідеальне життя, але чим більше вона занурюється в програму генетичних модифікацій, тим більше розуміє, що ідеальність може мати свої темні сторони. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи трилера з глибокими роздумами про людську природу, моральні дилеми та наслідки технологічного прогресу. Сюжет тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки, а несподівані повороти роблять читання ще більш захоплюючим. Хоча переклад книги іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією.
