Вражаюча альтернатива історії

«Роки рису і солі» - це справжній шедевр, який відкриває нові горизонти в розумінні історії та культур. Кім Стенлі Робінсон майстерно малює альтернативний світ, де чума в середньовічній Європі кардинально змінює хід історії, даючи можливість іншим цивілізаціям, таким як Китай, Індія та Ісламський халіфат, розвиватися без впливу європейських країн. Книга спонукає читача замислитися над тим, як культурні, соціальні та економічні фактори формують світ, в якому ми живемо. Робінсон не лише створює захоплюючий сюжет, але й глибоко досліджує теми ідентичності, взаємодії культур та наслідків історичних подій. Хоча переклад тексту іноді може бути недосконалим, це не зменшує загального враження від читання.
