Книга "Дороги хаджу" – це справжній шедевр, який переносить читача в епоху, коли Азербайджан зазнавав тяжких випробувань під натиском монголо-татар. Самід Агаєв майстерно описує внутрішній конфлікт головного героя, Хафіза Алі, який, втративши все, намагається знайти свою віру та душевний спокій через хадж. Його подорож до Мекки обертається на несподівану пригоду в Єрусалимі, де він стає свідком політичних інтриг та релігійних конфліктів. Автор вміло поєднує історичні факти з вигаданими елементами, створюючи захоплюючий сюжет, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки.
