Book The threat of unreality: information, culture and money as the Kremlin’s weapons
The online magazine The Interpreter (a project of the Institute of Modern Russia, USA) in November 2014 prepared a report on Russian propaganda and ways to counter it, “The threat of unreality: information, culture and money as the Kremlin’s weapons.” Its authors, Peter Pomerantsev and Michael Weiss, analyzing the information war waged by the Russian state, examine the set of tools used in it, paying special attention to the “non-linear International” that the Kremlin is creating to confront the West, and the role of conspiracy theories in propaganda.
