Pioneer heroes are Soviet pioneers who accomplished feats during the formation of Soviet power, collectivization, and the Great Patriotic War. The official list of “pioneer heroes” was drawn up in 1954 with the compilation of the Book of Honor of the All-Union Pioneer Organization named after. V. I. Lenin.
