Continuation of the adventures begun in the book “The Crocodile Restaurant”. Having safely escaped from the mysterious restaurant, our heroes find themselves in an equally strange place, in a hotel located in an old castle, on the day when a dress-up party is held there in costumes of the Napoleonic era, and where they are invited to take part. While passing the time until the evening, our heroes explore the nooks and crannies of the castle, which their new acquaintance, who stopped right there, tells them with pleasure, he offers to unravel his signature trick, associated with the revival of paintings. This is where it all begins. And when the friends realized how the magician’s triumph ended for them, it was too late to run away.
