Speed is not easy for ships, but in certain cases, even without combat, it gives a feeling of complete superiority. One can imagine the feelings of foreign sailors when our destroyers playfully walked around their ships moving at full speed! If it’s hard to imagine, imagine that you are overtaking powerful foreign cars on the highway in full view of everyone. And then there’s such a fast-moving beauty - that’s why, probably, in foreign reference books of those years, our destroyers were always given a lot of space: in “Jane” in 1972 there were 15 (!) photographs of “Kotlins”, however, instead of the Polish “Warsaw” there was a photo of “Brave” …
