The material contains a description of the design of energy-saving lamps, as well as instructions for their diagnosis, repair and modernization. Diagrams of 17 of the most common types of energy-saving lamps are presented. Energy-saving fluorescent lamps with a screw base, suitable for replacing conventional incandescent lamps, appeared on our market only a few years ago, but have already become popular and found their consumer. The undoubted advantages of these lamps are their efficiency and durability, however, “nothing lasts forever” - failures do happen. This article discusses the most common causes of failures and methods for eliminating them.
