In this story, Jules Verne's brother Paul describes the ascent of two Frenchmen, accompanied by guides, to Mont Blanc, the highest peak of the Alps. The author describes the beauty, grandeur and power of the mountains - not forgetting to also talk about the dangers, often fatal, that awaited travelers in those days when the Alps were not yet a convenient and safe ski resort. Jules Verne corrected his brother’s story, but how great was his edit - unknown.
