Very few aircraft in the history of aviation have been able to overcome their reputation as failures over the course of their service life, the Thunderchief being one of them. The aircraft was designed by the Republic Aviation Division of the Fairchild Hiller Corporation. Thunderchief improved its reputation during the first four years of the Vietnam War. The Phantom rightfully became a symbol of the “dirty” war, but in the early years of the conflict, 70% of the bombing of North Vietnam was carried out by Republic bombers.

Неймовірна історія літака, що змінив хід війни!
