“Columns” (1929) is the debut poetry book of one of the best poets of the 20th century. Nikolai Zabolotsky. Young Zabolotsky belonged to the late avant-garde in the “Leningrad version”, was close to the artists of P. Filonov’s circle and was a member of OBERIU. In preparing this scientific edition of Stolbtsov, the first edition of 1929 was used as the main source; the “Supplements” publish the 1933 and 1958 editions, as well as materials related to the creation of the book. The publication includes information about the variants of “Columns”, discrepancies and translations into foreign languages. Among the illustrations are photographs of the poet, copies of documents, samples of the author's design of poetic text. For a wide range of readers.
