"Great Artists" is a unique series of magazines covering the history of world painting and presenting famous artists, their lives, creative development and the most famous works. Each issue of the collection is dedicated to one of the outstanding painters. On thirty-two pages of each magazine, the life and creative development of a particular artist is presented and his contribution to world painting is analyzed. At the end of the issue there is a list of museums that house the paintings of this master.

Fame came to him very early, but he did not have time to enjoy it to the full: the plague epidemic that captured Venice at the beginning of the 16th century did not spare him the great artist, who died at the age of only about thirty, nor most of his paintings, which were burned to prevent the spread of this terrible disease. Vasari wrote that in painting Giorgione not only surpassed Bellini, but also “competed with Leonardo.”
