To this day it is called “the greatest tank battle of World War II,” and many are still confident that it ended in our victory. Having compared documents from Soviet and German military archives, analyzing the course of hostilities by day and hour, L.H. Lopukhovsky irrefutably proves that the counterattack on July 12, 1943 near Prokhorovka ended in a major failure for our army, which complicated the further actions of the troops of the Voronezh Front.
