Едмонд Гамільтон, як завжди, вражає своєю уявою та здатністю створювати захоплюючі світи, які вражають своєю деталізацією та глибиною. Цей роман не лише продовжує історію, розпочату в "Зоряних королях", але й розширює її, вводячи нових персонажів та неймовірні пригоди. Читачі можуть відчути себе частиною космічної експедиції, переживаючи разом з лікарем космічного корабля всі труднощі та виклики, які чекають на них у безмежному космосі.
