Spinoza (like Leibniz and Nietzsche) was the most important and favorite author for Deleuze. Along with the two books, Deleuze dedicated a course of lectures to Spinoza, given in 1978–1981 (the first lecture was given on January 24, 1978, and the rest from November 1980 to March 1981). In this course, Deleuze modernizes Spinoza to the extreme, highlighting the places he needs and omitting others. Throughout the lectures, Deleuze analyzes, in his opinion, the main concepts of Spinoza - affect and affect; the theme of freedom, and, contrary to popular belief that Deleuze does not have this theme, the theme of death.

Вражаючий аналіз філософії Спінози

Книга "Лекції про Спінозу" є неймовірно цінним внеском у сучасну філософську думку. Делез, як один з найзначніших філософів XX століття, зумів вдало переосмислити та модернізувати ідеї Спінози, надаючи їм нових значень у контексті сучасності. Його лекції, прочитані в період з 1978 по 1981 роки, не лише розкривають основні концепти Спінози, такі як афект і свобода, але й пропонують глибокий аналіз теми смерті, що часто залишається поза увагою. Делез вміло поєднує складні філософські ідеї з доступним викладом, що робить цю книгу зрозумілою навіть для тих, хто не є фахівцем у філософії. Читання цієї книги стало для мене справжнім відкриттям, і я впевнений, що вона залишить глибокий слід у свідомості кожного, хто прагне зрозуміти філософію Спінози через призму сучасного мислення.
