John CRISEY is a popular English writer. Born in 1908. In a family of nine he was the youngest. After graduating from school, within seven years he changed two dozen professions. In 1935, he took up writing, which began to bring him income. Chrisi's novels have been translated into 28 languages and have sold over 75 million copies around the globe. From 1935 to 1973, he published 560 books under twenty-eight pseudonyms. The writer died in 1973. The novel “Inspector West Alone” is part of a series of more than five dozen novels under the general title “The Adventures of Roger West.” In 1968, the Progress publishing house published D. Kriesi’s novel “The Mystery of the Kookaburra.”
