Гаррі Дрезден, як завжди, вражає своєю рішучістю та відвагою, а його стосунки зі Стражем Морганом додають глибини та емоційності. Війна між Білою Радою та вампірськими колегіями стає ще більш заплутаною, і читач відчуває, як кожен крок героїв може стати фатальним.
