Book Be a patriot. Pro et contra
What is patriotism? Everyone will answer that this is love for the homeland. To the question “What is the homeland,” everyone will answer: “My country.” But this is the root of the problem. Love for one's country or nation certainly leads to self-exaltation and, as a consequence, the emergence of such concepts as nationalism, xenophobia, chauvinism and racism. However, patriotism was and remains the main force that allowed the nation to survive and maintain its identity. Just as a man protects his family, so patriots die for their fatherland in order to protect it. This book contains the thoughts of great people about whether it is good or bad to be a patriot.
