Автор майстерно поєднує елементи детективу та психологічного трилера, створюючи атмосферу невизначеності та страху. Сюжет розвивається навколо загадкових самогубств, які виявляються лише верхівкою айсберга жахіть, що охоплюють маленьке містечко Хартсдейл.
