Шарль Бодлер (1821-1867) is a classic of French literature, poet, critic, essayist, founder of декаданса and symbolism. Collection of poems became the poetic top of his work "Flowers of evil", first published in 1857 and instantly bringing over to itself attention of reading public, - a poet at once was fined for the insult of public moral and forced to clean from text 6 most "immoral" poems.This collection reflects the world view of poet, his basic lyric moods - boredom, dejection, melancholy to a full degree. The heroes of his verses are as if torn between spiritual beauty and aesthetics of vice, they are tormented by divide of desires and thirst of death. Many texts are sanctified to the French poet of Теофилю Готье and muse of author, ballet-dancer Жанне Дюваль, that considerably influenced on becoming of Шарля Бодлера as poet.In this collection the verses of Бодлера are presented in translation of poet-imagist Vadim Шершеневича.
