January 4, 1960 Albert Camus died in a car accident. Among the wreckage of the car was found his travel bag and in it - a draft version of the novel "The First Man". Thirty-four years after the author's death, a book prepared by the writer's daughter Catherine Camus was published.The novel, essentially autobiographical, is dedicated to Camus's mother: "To you, who will never be able to read this book," she really could not read it because she was illiterate.The hero of the novel, Jacques Cormery, seeking to resurrect the memories of his father, who died during the First World War, comes to Algiers, where his childhood passed in poverty, which he was able to survive thanks to the love of a silent and illiterate mother and a teacher who changed his view of the world. Глибоке занурення в душу автора

«Перша людина» - це не просто роман, це справжня подорож у світ думок і переживань Альбера Камю, яка відкриває перед читачем його внутрішній світ. Книга, підготовлена дочкою автора, вражає своєю щирістю та емоційною глибиною. Жак Кормері, головний герой, стає втіленням пошуку ідентичності, а його спогади про дитинство в Алжирі, злидні та любов матері, змушують задуматися про важливість коріння та родинних зв'язків. Камю майстерно передає атмосферу часу, в якому жив, і його філософські роздуми про життя, смерть і сенс існування. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних помилок, загальна якість перекладу не заважає насолоджуватися цим шедевром.
