Vladimir Малик (real last name of Сыченко, 1921 - 1998) is the Ukrainian writer known as an author of историко-приключенческих novels (tetralogy is the "Secret ambassador", "Prince Кий", dark "Red shields" of and other). His works rank together with the novels of Alexander Дюма and Генрика Сенкевича. In 1983 for achievements in area of literature of В.Малику was given purse the name of Lesya Ukrainians.In tetralogy the "Secret ambassador" is told about a fight Ukrainian people against the Turkish-Tatar invaders in the second half of XVІІ of century, about tragic events in Ukraine after the Чигиринских hikes and about the defensive of Vienna (in summer of 1683).
